The Yeti #shifter has some amazing tricks up his sleeve! #Bigfoot romance

Some say the Yeti or Bigfoot or the Abominable Snowman as many call him, is a missing link along the human evolutionary line. Either that or he's a special type of gigantic ape who lives in the forest or else the lonely snow covered mountains, always alone, always dodging human contact. He's at once a legend and a mystery that time has never unraveled. Will we ever find the answer?

Well, I for one have always been intrigued by unsolvable mysteries so I figured, why not write a Yeti shifter romance? And who better to pair such a painfully shy creature with than a nosy reporter? One determined to gain fame and fortune from her big discovery, even if it costs her life?

Fortunately for her, the Yeti has other plans. He's also got some special features to help him out. Check these fancy skills:

1. He's got silky soft long white hair.
2. His penis is ribbed!
3. He has extra padding on his feet and hands to be able to traverse the ice.
4. Even his eyes have a special covering sort of like a cat's.
5. He's also got some high-tech devices to get him around from place to place.

Check out these features and learn more about the secret Yeti world in Saved by the Yeti, out now.

Reporter Kaylee Vonn is determined to prove Yetis exist. Not even avalanche danger and certain death can deter her from her goal. But her plans are thrown awry by the handsome, towering shopkeeper Pete. She's sure he has a secret line to the Yeti. She doesn't know how right she is...

From the moment he meets the nosy reporter, Pete knows she'd make a perfect mate. Except if she exposes his ancient race's secrets, she'll die. Can he stop her snooping before she does something stupid and pays the ultimate price?

Excerpt:

Still in Yeti form, Roshan burst through the portal at a breakneck run, body burning with internal fire. The beast inside roared and clamored with urgency, demanding he find Kaylee immediately. He hadn’t forgotten her occupation nor her goal — to expose his people — but his beast didn’t care Kaylee wasn’t proper mate material. It desired Kaylee, and its yearning grew louder and more alarm-filled by the second. Worry churning in his gut, he stepped out on top of the mountain.

Snow and driving wind hit him full-force, making a clear line of sight difficult for even him. Using the magic of the ancients, he hummed the song to slow the elements and make his trek easier. When the downfall abated, chill air swept around him. Close to dark, the mountain would be uninhabitable for all but the hardiest critters in no time. With little time left, he scurried down the hill toward the cabin, praying Kaylee had enough sense to have remained there during his absence.

On each of his steps his oversized feet and claws sank in and held. He did not worry about the steepness of the slope for he had excellent balance. The thick coating of fur kept him warm and so did the exercise, so he would not freeze. But his heart was still broken by the death he’d seen. Needing to assure himself of the beauty of life, he pounded down the mountain. Kaylee would be there. She’d cure his aching soul.

Mate. He clenched his jaw and ignored his beast but again it howled, this time louder. Mate!

The beast’s shrill alarm call stopped him in his tracks. He looked around and sniffed the air but found nothing. Annoyed, he shook his head. His beast had gone overboard, that’s all. Before he resumed his descent he looked down and saw a faint hint of tracks. Human tracks. Kaylee’s? Holy ancients, no. It can’t be. But despair curled low in his guts, filling him with dread.

Anxious, he followed the prints down the hill to where they stopped. He saw the flattened hillside and followed it down. At the bottom, he found no Kaylee. Instinct whispered to keep searching. With every step, his blood chilled. Would he find Kaylee’s body out here in this horrible storm? He clenched his padded hands and gave a low roar. The mountain shook. A ball of snow hidden under a jutting rock moved and wobbled to standing.  Shock hit him. The slim form barely clinging to the mountain was Kaylee.

He raced across the steep slope and grabbed her before her unsteady limbs could collapse. Wrapping his arms around her, he swallowed a cry of relief and squeezed her tight to his chest. Her face burrowed into his hairy shoulder, her chilled face like ice. He brushed his thick ape-like lips over her cheek, silently assuring her he’d keep her safe, then carried his precious cargo down the slippery hill. Each step brought her closer to warmth and safety but every second she spent in his arms solidified his beast’s claim. She’s out here because she wants us. I want her. She’s mine.

Only the #voodoo queen can help this #alpha find his mate

Some shifters have it rough. Finding a mate isn't always easy. Sometimes there's a battle involved. Other times, heartache. Most of the time, the alpha males manage to convince their mates of their intentions and capture their love. But not always. Sometimes love is a little stranger than that!

Especially when you mix in voodoo.

What's voodoo? According to Wikipedia, New Orleans Voodoo is:

Louisiana Voodoo, also known as New Orleans Voodoo, describes a set of spiritual folkways that developed from the traditions of the African diaspora. It is a cultural form of the Afro-American religions developed by enslaved West Africans and the FrenchSpanish, and Creole populations of the U.S. state of Louisiana

It's part religion, part superstition, part cultural heritage. In this story, the voodoo queen herself - one of the most famous New Orleans voodoo practitioners - makes an appearance.

Among the fifteen “voodoo queens” in neighborhoods scattered around 19th-century New Orleans, Marie Laveau was known as "the" Voodoo Queen, the most eminent and powerful of them all. Her religious rite on the shore of Lake Pontchartrain on St. John’s Eve in 1874 attracted some 12,000 black and white New Orleanians. It was said that politicians, lawyers, businessman, wealthy planters - all came to her to consult before making an important financial or business-related decision.

Only through her help does the alpha connect with his yet innocent mate - on a steamboat of ill repute sailing the Mississippi River-  in Alpha's Voodoo.

Sometimes, it takes magic to make magic!

Blurb:

Are curses real or merely imagined?

Violet Creed is a colored New Orleans debutante. She was brought up with servants and a strict set of rules regarding propriety, and her papa never approved of her interest in Voodoo. One night she sneaks out of the house and attends one of Marie Laveau’s gatherings—where she loses her virginity and her reputation. Turned out by her papa, Violet is destined for a life on the streets until Madam Dawn saves her.

Cursed to live as a wolf shifter, Mark Afton is a wealthy lawyer and heir to the Bayou Pack. Unfortunately, he can’t take over leadership from his uncle without a mate. Wanting to escape his mother’s endless matchmaking attempts, he accepts Madam Dawn’s invitation to sail on the maiden voyage of the Southern Rose and enjoy the pleasurable company of her ladies.

One of Madam Dawn’s recent hires catches his attention. He is drawn to Violet immediately. Could she be his mate or is their attraction merely Voodoo?

Excerpt:

A thick ball of saliva slid down her throat. The more he played with her breasts, the more hot honey drenched her tight tunnel. One hairsbreadth at a time she pressed a single finger inside her molten passage. Stopping when she’d buried her finger up to her knuckle, she wiggled it a bit, getting used to the feel. She withdrew her finger just as slowly, hearing the slippery sound of her own juices.

His hand circled her wrist and he lifted her finger to his mouth. His warm tongue licked her wet skin. “Your nectar is so sweet,” he crooned.

Her heart pounded with such intensity her chest ached. This intimate connection was not what she had expected. She had wanted to just lie there and let Madam Dawn’s customers have their way with her.

Active participation would be unseemly.

His tongue swirled around her finger, sucking in every drop.

The longer he licked her finger, the stronger her need to feel him, until she nearly demanded he thrust his manhood inside her moist heat. Suddenly, she wanted to be with this man more than anything, more than breathing.

She rose up, pressing her chest firmly into his hands. “Please,” she said. “Please.” Her voice grew louder. Perhaps a little encouragement would get him to satisfy her pressing need.
Her thighs fell open even wider, as if offering herself up to him.
Ignoring her encouragement, he continued watching her and occasionally brushing across her sensitive breasts.

The man was going to make her do it. He said he would, but she had hoped he’d change his mind and seek to satisfy himself, too. By the bulge in his trousers, it was apparent his needs were growing.

When the power pulls you in - dominant males and their animal attraction #shifter #PNR

animal magnetism
  1.        the power to attract others through one's physical presence, bearing, energy, etc.
  2.        the indefinite power, presumably innate in some persons, that enables one to induce hypnosis.

We don't talk outright about personal magnetism or animal magnetism in the romance world, but what we are writing does have elements of that. Especially with vampires and shifters.

With vampires, it's not so much animal magnetic power, but personal hypnotic power. They use their power to put their victims in thrall.

thrall
noun
  1. Also called thraldom, (US) thralldom. the state or condition of being in the power of another person
  2. a person who is in such a state
  3. a person totally subject to some need, desire, appetite, etc

verb
4. (transitive) to enslave or dominate

But with werewolves, we ARE talking about animal magnetism, not so much the ability to induce hypnosis, but for sure the power to attract and hold attention, the ability to exude power and dominance, and an enhanced physical presence.

I think a lot of their power comes from an enhanced physical presence sourced from their wolf or their bear or their other internal animal. The wild part of them that refuses to be tamed yet calls to us with all the beauty of a perfect storm.

And in my ongoing shifter story in Sexy to Go, this power emerges in several ways. It's sexually attractive - almost an aphrodisiac - as well as dominating and confident. In the latest installment, one new ability has made itself known, namely, that a VERY dominant male's power can pull a female into labor. In this case, two females, who enter labor. One, upon his arrival (though she hasn't laid eyes on him yet) and the other, once she is in direct line of sight.

Here's an excerpt from the story, called Mate me or Hate me:

Dahlia placed an arm across her shoulders. “Don’t worry, Snake’s not going to let anything happen to you – or the baby. Nor is Liam and he has the entire bear pack to back him up. Believe me, nobody is going to get to this baby but us.”
Swallowing, she lifted her head. “Okay. Fine. But when we get there, remind me why I’m not living in another country sipping coffee in a sidewalk cafe instead of hunkered down in some tiny remote cabin surrounded by bears watching my mind go stir crazy?”
“Deal.” Dahlia took her hand and pulled.
Casi came off the bed and paused, one hand automatically going to her belly. “Wait. I feel funny.”
“What is it?”
“I think… It’s …” One strong cramp hit her and she cried out, then liquid trickled down her legs. “Oh, damn. I think my water broke.” Gasping, she looked up at Dahlia, searching for support.
Dahlia produced a phone she’d had hidden somewhere on her body and dialed. “Liam? It’s time. We need to get Casi to the hospital right now.” Ample swearing could be heard on the other end, and Snake’s concerned voice, too. “Okay. We will meet you here.” She snapped the phone shut and turned to Casi. “Do you have a bag already packed? What about a robe?”
Casi pointed to the robe on the end of the bed and her bag, sitting on the chair next to the dining table. Dahlia wrapped her in the robe, grabbed the bag and started them toward the door.
When Casi put her hand on the doorknob, her body flushed hot. A thousand prickles tingled over her skin, precursors of something bigger, but she didn’t know what. It felt almost as if … almost … Oh, God. Was she going to shift? But I can’t do that. The baby. Demanding her body remain in human form, she stubbornly opened the door.
Behind her, Dahlia let out a sharp cry. Casi’s senses picked up her distress, the cramp that ran through her mate was the same as hers a moment ago. Then, she scented the additional liquid. Dahlia had just entered labor, too. But how, or why? Stunned, Casi focused her attention on the figure in front of the door. A large man silhouetted against the bright sunlight, his face nearly in shadow. But from what she could see of it, he looked familiar. As if she’d known him long ago… Suddenly the details snapped into place. She could hardly find breath to say the words that burned through her throat on the way out.

“Hello, dad.”

Suffice to say, the super-dominant masculine exudes a force on the female body that cannot be denied. And that's probably WHY females love them so much! :)
