The Yeti #shifter has some amazing tricks up his sleeve! #Bigfoot romance

Some say the Yeti or Bigfoot or the Abominable Snowman as many call him, is a missing link along the human evolutionary line. Either that or he's a special type of gigantic ape who lives in the forest or else the lonely snow covered mountains, always alone, always dodging human contact. He's at once a legend and a mystery that time has never unraveled. Will we ever find the answer?

Well, I for one have always been intrigued by unsolvable mysteries so I figured, why not write a Yeti shifter romance? And who better to pair such a painfully shy creature with than a nosy reporter? One determined to gain fame and fortune from her big discovery, even if it costs her life?

Fortunately for her, the Yeti has other plans. He's also got some special features to help him out. Check these fancy skills:

1. He's got silky soft long white hair.
2. His penis is ribbed!
3. He has extra padding on his feet and hands to be able to traverse the ice.
4. Even his eyes have a special covering sort of like a cat's.
5. He's also got some high-tech devices to get him around from place to place.

Check out these features and learn more about the secret Yeti world in Saved by the Yeti, out now.

Reporter Kaylee Vonn is determined to prove Yetis exist. Not even avalanche danger and certain death can deter her from her goal. But her plans are thrown awry by the handsome, towering shopkeeper Pete. She's sure he has a secret line to the Yeti. She doesn't know how right she is...

From the moment he meets the nosy reporter, Pete knows she'd make a perfect mate. Except if she exposes his ancient race's secrets, she'll die. Can he stop her snooping before she does something stupid and pays the ultimate price?

Excerpt:

Still in Yeti form, Roshan burst through the portal at a breakneck run, body burning with internal fire. The beast inside roared and clamored with urgency, demanding he find Kaylee immediately. He hadn’t forgotten her occupation nor her goal — to expose his people — but his beast didn’t care Kaylee wasn’t proper mate material. It desired Kaylee, and its yearning grew louder and more alarm-filled by the second. Worry churning in his gut, he stepped out on top of the mountain.

Snow and driving wind hit him full-force, making a clear line of sight difficult for even him. Using the magic of the ancients, he hummed the song to slow the elements and make his trek easier. When the downfall abated, chill air swept around him. Close to dark, the mountain would be uninhabitable for all but the hardiest critters in no time. With little time left, he scurried down the hill toward the cabin, praying Kaylee had enough sense to have remained there during his absence.

On each of his steps his oversized feet and claws sank in and held. He did not worry about the steepness of the slope for he had excellent balance. The thick coating of fur kept him warm and so did the exercise, so he would not freeze. But his heart was still broken by the death he’d seen. Needing to assure himself of the beauty of life, he pounded down the mountain. Kaylee would be there. She’d cure his aching soul.

Mate. He clenched his jaw and ignored his beast but again it howled, this time louder. Mate!

The beast’s shrill alarm call stopped him in his tracks. He looked around and sniffed the air but found nothing. Annoyed, he shook his head. His beast had gone overboard, that’s all. Before he resumed his descent he looked down and saw a faint hint of tracks. Human tracks. Kaylee’s? Holy ancients, no. It can’t be. But despair curled low in his guts, filling him with dread.

Anxious, he followed the prints down the hill to where they stopped. He saw the flattened hillside and followed it down. At the bottom, he found no Kaylee. Instinct whispered to keep searching. With every step, his blood chilled. Would he find Kaylee’s body out here in this horrible storm? He clenched his padded hands and gave a low roar. The mountain shook. A ball of snow hidden under a jutting rock moved and wobbled to standing.  Shock hit him. The slim form barely clinging to the mountain was Kaylee.

He raced across the steep slope and grabbed her before her unsteady limbs could collapse. Wrapping his arms around her, he swallowed a cry of relief and squeezed her tight to his chest. Her face burrowed into his hairy shoulder, her chilled face like ice. He brushed his thick ape-like lips over her cheek, silently assuring her he’d keep her safe, then carried his precious cargo down the slippery hill. Each step brought her closer to warmth and safety but every second she spent in his arms solidified his beast’s claim. She’s out here because she wants us. I want her. She’s mine.

Eva's saying hello!

Hi all,

*waves*

I am new around here and trying not to get too terribly lost! To tell the truth, it's a little confusing but I think I'll fit right in, because I'm really loving the paranormal genre more and more lately. After a rocky start reading books featuring alphas that were TOO alpha - if you know what I mean - I've found that paranormal has gotten a bit more ... fun.

And reading should be fun, right? I think so!

I'm the kind of author who always sneaks in a little humor here and there. A dwarf telling the heroine shapeshifter she can lay off the ice cream any time. A vampire who meets a girl that likes really raw meat. Mmm! And throw into the mix a few reclusive witches and puking heroes and you've got .... you've got... well a mess! But it's a mess that ends well. All stories should end well.

The serial shapeshifter story I'm currently writing for the Sexy to Go monthly anthology isn't at the end point yet, so, safe to say, things are only going to get worse before they get better. But that's okay. The other thing I like about paranormal romance is you can have battles featuring very strong opponents. These folks aren't wimpy and their fights are quick and deadly. Only the winner is left standing, and to the winner goes the spoils....

That brings me to another thing I like about paranormal romance and erotica - it invariably involves the power structure. In any relationship, there's always a power dynamic. Maybe it's unclear or it shifts or it just remains unsaid, but I guarantee you it's there. Writing paranormal erotica and romance gives me a chance to explore power dynamics and blur the gender roles.

Stay tuned for more info on the ongoing story. Having an alpha female and how the males react to her will be fun! Oh, and she's pregnant. Grouchy, female and alpha? Yeah, this is going to be so much fun!

About Tianna Xander

Sometime in the fall of 2000, after hearing that I loved reading historical romances a co-worker thrust a paper grocery bag full of books on me. For the most part, the books were what I loved to read, historical, mainly regency romances. However, hidden deep within this newfound treasure of books, I found a book of a type that I had never read.

The avid historical romance reader in me shuddered to find a vampire novel hidden deep in the bottom of that bag. Still, my husband was a sailor and out to sea. After reading the historical, I was bored. To me, an avid reader of almost everything, reading a vampire novel for the first time was infinitely better than reading an historical novel a second time.

Gingerly, I picked up the vampire novel and with very low expectations—boy I was a snob, wasn’t I?—I began to read. I stopped after the first chapter. It wasn’t because I didn’t like it. It was because the book was so good, so well written and quite in the middle of a series. Anyone who knows me and my reading habits, knows that I never start reading a series in the middle. I put down book four of the series and immediately went out to find books one through three and any others she may have written after book four.

After a year or so of reading every paranormal book I could get my hands on, I complained to my husband that my favorite authors didn’t write fast enough.

He said, “You’ve been wanting to write a book of your own for some time. Why don’t you give it a try while you wait?”

“Why not?” I replied and I immediately got to work. It should be easy, I thought. It wasn’t as though I hadn’t taken college English and vocabulary. This would be a piece of cake, right?

Wrong!

After countless writes and rewrites and close to a hundred rejections from agents and publishers alike, I almost gave up. Again my husband stepped up. “Darlin’,” he said, wrapping his arm around me and kissing my forehead. “You write all of the time. You write during your breaks at work, you write at breakfast, you write in bed… What will you do if you stop writing? You can’t stop writing. You love it too much.”

That made me think. I do love to write. I adore spinning tales that others read and touching people in some small way with whatever emotions are packed in my books. As much as I hate to admit it, he was right.

Not too long after that, a woman who I have come to realize is as beautiful inside as she is outside, offered me a contract for Virgin’s Blood.

The rest is, as they say, history. Now, after over eighty published stories later, I’m still writing and still hoping that I touch at least some of my readers the way my favorite authors have touched me. It’s my goal to make my readers laugh, cry and maybe hate a character or two before they see the character’s redeeming qualities. If I’ve made even one reader feel strongly about any one of my characters, I think I’ve done my job as a storyteller.

Pulling my readers into my stories is what I strive to do every time I write a new book. If I succeed in pulling readers into my fantasy worlds in some small way, then I’m happy in a job well done.

Can't You See Him As Your Next Vampire Lover?

When I look it him, not only do I see Captain America's hot best friend but also, if I let my imagination soar, an emotionally tortured Count.

A vampire choosing to live his life alone, away from the threat of humanity and its blasted companionship fraught with complication.  How can you be friends with your food?  Sure there are other vampires but they tend to be rivals who stir up trouble.  No, this man, this Count leads an uncomplicated life not sullied by messy things like emotions and relationships.

That is until his leading lady steps into his life.  Perhaps it is you.  You stir a long dormant desire within him. With you, he sees the possibility of happiness and a life of pleasure, not loneliness.

But who do you see?  A hot as hell man with the strength of ten and a pent up passion longing to be released.

He is determined to claim you.  You will be his mate forever.  And you want this.  For he is fearless, handsome and determined man.  He is the consummate alpha male and he wants you. You know his devotion for you will be without limit but then again so will your love.

He is a vampire and yet you are willing to offer up yourself to spend an eternity with him for he has captured your heart and your body. He will protect you even if it means sacrificing his life because you are his mate, his love, his bride.

...So when I saw The Winter Soldier, my muse became very inspired.
